No experts and no textbooks, just a candid conversation about what burnout actually feels like when you are in the thick of it. In this episode, we share our personal journey through dosimetry…
So, you know, something, you know, while we were talking with other colleagues and, you you know, other dosimetrists, even at the conference, you know, during personal conversations, something that keeps coming back is burnout, you know, unable to set boundaries or, you know, people feel like they're very stressed, you know, with their daily task.
Did you get that notion, Jeff, you know, while talking to others?
Yeah, you know, everybody has their own personal journeys.
And today in this episode, we want to kind of share our experiences and what's been going on.
And, you know, If you feel the same way, please leave comments or send us more emails about it that maybe we didn't address on these things or maybe suggestions that we can kind of improve on these burnouts.
But it all happens.
Our profession is high stress.
This is why we get paid what we get paid.
And we're always trying to do what's best for the patient, always trying to deliver quality plans.
But you're multitasking many things, a lot of hats that you've been given, and they're always asking more from you in the time allotted.
So, you know, we want to just talk about, you know, how we can improve our mental health, even our physical health, psychological, emotional, all the healths that the umbrella kind of encompasses.
And wanted to share, you know, our viewpoints.
Right.
Now, you know, it's, again, you know, I want to leave this footnote, I guess.
It's, we are guilty of it.
I'm guilty of it.
I still go through it.
A lot of these things that we're going to talk about really affect us on a personal level and We don't have all the solutions to it.
Some ideas that we could bounce off from each other and to you guys.
Maybe we can do as an individual or something suggest to the management at the leadership as well.
