And I was thinking to myself, what should I talk about when I've come back? Because obviously I've not been here for a while and I didn't want to jump straight in with like, you know, the pricing framework that I've come up with and be like, you need to do this, you need to do that.

I just thought, actually, do you know what I'm going to do? When I go on holiday, and I don't know if you guys are the same, maybe not, maybe.

So what I tend to do to try and help me switch off is I will take some like business books with me.

It's written by an American guy who basically did research over a long period of time of what the difference between great companies is to good companies and what they do differently that makes them great over good.

If you are running a business and you've got staff and things like that, that is definitely the perfect read.

And I also read this time, I got The Psychology of Money and I got another book called, what the hell is it called? I wrote it down.

These are ones that I've seen on TikTok that people say, oh, you know, if you're an entrepreneur, read these books.

And I do always tend to read a business book whilst I'm away because it's the only time I get uninterrupted and it's the only time really I get to read a book.

So I thought, what better than to read a business book to see if I can get any tips from them? Now, The Psychology of Money, I think, is a fairly recent one, which I think a few people have put up to read in the various different pet groups.

didn't think it was that great and I know I'm gonna maybe people have read it and thought it was amazing I just I just didn't really get much from it and to be honest I didn't even finish the book I think I got three quarters of the way through and I was so bored that I went on to the next book yes there's like elements of it that I took I think a lot of it's common sense like you know if you make money don't be a dick um you know which I think is kind of common sense but it does talk about obviously the psychology of money because that's what it's titled as and a lot of people think that you're quite rational with money but actually we're not and I think I did a chat with someone around um finance and finance coaching and it was about the fact that you're not really rational with money and it's actually more of an emotional thing because if you actually think about it every decision that we make around money is influenced partly by our upbringing our experiences our fears our beliefs and you know when I was younger I looking at my mom, for example, she was a hoarder.
