Harvey Bracken-SmithHostWhat do you think is the biggest mistake that people make that aren't able to have the same success rate that you've had in providing the night vision goggles for investors?
It's a combination of the biggest challenge I think people face is first and foremost, you know, and I talked a little bit about this a couple of weeks ago in another conversation.
You know, I always tell people there are three things that matter in your career when you're in finance, which is super competitive.
You know, sort of what did you learn? How did you learn it? So on and so forth.
The third leg of the stool, which is the one that you're in total control of, is how hard you work.

I believe that, you know, sort of compounding knowledge over time in a routine and process-driven framework creates a moat that makes it hard for others to compete with and gives you sort of extra points.
It's, you know, sort of fundamentally, I do think, Putting in the right time to do the right things is actually a fundamental mistake that a lot of people make.
And then the second thing is I think sort of being a continuous learner is also another thing.
And you want to be expansive and sort of really sort of be comfortable in your process so that you can take more risk.
How do you optimize for accumulating as much data as possible whilst also verifying that it's actually correct?
First things first, with any data or any collection mechanism, it's about sort of what framework do you want to execute against, right? So you start with the framework.
and then you fill that framework in remember color by numbers when you were a kid or like you know like like like my mom used to crochet or sew and she used to sew with like the with the template the world has templates right like um you know sort of uh accounting frameworks or frameworks portis five forces is a framework swat analyses or frameworks these are all sort of tried and true processes that you can put into a structure so that your first order framework is grounded in truth.
