The EU AI Act: Risk Tiers and Shifting Gears

Catherine, we've got a guest episode today, and it's a timely one that also happens to be our first transatlantic podcast.

We are thrilled today to be joined by a real live human, John Patton, who is a partner at Paul Weiss and heads up the IP and technology practice in the UK and Europe.

And he has been living and breathing the EU AI Act, although he is human, you know, he's actually a living and breathing human being, but living and breathing the EU AI Act before it was even adopted.

So quite some time in pre-generative AIs and is very knowledgeable about everything that's been happening in Brussels, generally with the EUAI Act, and particularly over the last few weeks.

So Scott and I are really excited, John, to have you on the podcast and to walk us through where we are with this sort of moving target.
