Connecting with other people is so important, and as we think of our children learning to connect with others, quite often we get, we fall into the trap of thinking about them connecting with people in their own age group, and that is important.

Yet, there's so many other, uh, there are so many other situations that they need to have some skills to connect with other people, particularly with adults, uh, because most of their life they're gonna be dealing with someone that is not in their age group, an older or younger person, and there are skills that are, are important in being able to build a connection and communicate with one another.

This, the title is, uh, Everyone Communicates, But Few Connect, and we don't want that to be true of our children.

And, and the, the point of the book begins very early, that connection with other people is a learnable skill.

That means it's a teachable skill, and that a- as you, you as the parent can help your child learn to connect with other people.
