At what point did you realize that energy is going to be a big issue for us in the future? At what point did that light bulb turn on?
Well, for me, it just seems intuitively obvious that, again, it's wanting to get down to the fundamental truths of everything.
And it was obvious to me as civilization, if you look back in time, you can go all the way back to, say, the Egyptians, the Greece period, Roman Empire, all these different civilizations over time.
If you look at what caused what was behind the prosperity or what fueled that, it was energy abundance.
What was when there was a breakthrough? In the case of the Roman Empire, the breakthrough was the energy assets and the understanding to bring water into cities with these aqueducts and these other technologies.
And so we're entering now, we're already in this digital age, but there's a very steep ramp
And that's going to require not an incremental change in energy, but like it's a logarithmic scale.
So when you understand that, you can't think in terms of like a 2%, 3% increase year over year.

So let's talk about IMPEAR, right? There's probably a lot of people watching this show that don't know what IMPEAR is.
