Hello there and welcome to Live Music and Me, a series of music podcasts where we get some of our friends to come on and talk about their gig memories.
Been a big fan of the Kevin McDermott Orchestra for a long time now, almost 40 years, so was delighted to get Kevin on and made a couple of aborted attempts at doing this.
As we thought, Kevin was really good company and some of his recollections were fantastic.
We got everything from his very early gig days at the Apollo with the likes of the Rosillos through to very recently seeing the B-52s and kind of everything in between via Vancouver.
Paris and also meeting Little Richard in an elevator in America somewhere so we covered all the bases it was really good fun as I say Kevin was in top form and we also talked a little bit about what he's got coming up which is a new album and some gigs that he's mentioned which we were really pleased to hear about We had a slight technical glitch on the audio, so we had some sort of audio bounce at my end.
But I think Kevin comes across loud and clear, which is obviously the most important part.
So, yes, I hope you enjoy this one.
