We as OTs know how incredibly important it is to weave pain science information into everything we do, but we also want to do it with the most greatest simplicity possible because we're not there to overwhelm.
We have a history of her being my mock client because for anyone who has seen my MedBridge course, Carla actually met me live and we filmed a session together.
So I want to just simplify the tool for a second and say that it really does come down to this very simple idea, which is It's going to sound kind of silly, but stick with me.
And so just as if, and by the way, this whole concept or analogy was actually borrowed from a pain psychologist by the name of Rachel Softness.
So the pain recipe is 100% all mine, but I borrowed it from concepts that she uses in the book, and I really put it into the OT framework.
And I really built it on her framing because I wanted to be able to have a tool where we can translate into something really tangible that you guys could use in the clinic tomorrow.
