That's a great question.
It's funny 'cause especially because my background is in science, I think the biggest thing for me that has helped make spirituality in general more accessible has been my belief, because this is, like, obviously my own opinion, that energy is energy is energy, right?
And so it's like even when we talk about, like, energy or spirit or however you wanna refer to it, 'cause sometimes those things can be slightly interchangeable, I feel like, you know, all of these things can, like, it's all kind of orienting from the same general place.
And so, like, when you're working in reiki, that's energy, and plants also have energy, but this is all, like, energy from however you believe the source of that energy comes from.
So I feel like yes, all the energy is the same.
And it's funny because we tend to box energy and spirituality into this, like, woo-woo sector, and then we talk about energy, you know, in physics, and we talk about energy in, um, you know, different types of science and we, and, you know, uh, kinetics and blah, blah, blah.
And so we talk about that like it's something different, but, like, that, [laughs] that's also energy.
And so it's funny because I feel like as a society we've kind of created lots of boundaries when the reality is we're talking about the same thing a lot of times.
So, like, in reiki, like, you're channeling energy and working with the human spirit.
When you're working with plants, you're working with the plant spirit.
But, like, all that energy kind of comes from a source, right? So, or if you believe that.
But and so yeah, I feel like it is kind of all the same thing, and what's interesting is I feel like when it comes to plants, like a lot of times people forget the ...
I don't, that's not the word I want, but, like, the aliveness of the plant, right? They're like they're interacting with this thing like it has no energetics, but it's like if you ask, for example, somebody who's worked with ayahuasca, they'd be like, "Please, this, these plants are spirits." [laughs] You know what I mean?
And so that's a more extreme example but, like, all of these things have energy.
And so I feel like we, you know, we box in these, uh, different things into these different categories because it makes more sense to us that way, but, like, it's all energy.
And that's why, like, a lot of times when I talk about reiki to people I'll be like, "Okay, like, we learned in science that, like, energy can't be created or destroyed," and they're like, "Yeah, uh-huh." And I'm like, "So why can't we manipulate it? So when we do reiki, we're channeling the energy to, like, cal- put you in, like, a relaxed state.
So all we're doing is manipulating energy, but it's the same energy that exists in e- all things that are animated." So I feel like it, the, it's like we, we make these lines so that I guess we can understand things, but I feel like it just honestly creates more limitations than anything because-
... people always ask me because of my science background, they're like, "It's so interesting that now you're in this, like, woo-woo field." And I'm like, "Is it interesting, or is it just, like, me working with the natural world in a different way now?" 'Cause, like-
