So we thought we'd recap some of the major developments of the year heading into what will be an unusually long summer break before the House returns in late October.
Well, let's talk about some of the things that were accomplished legislatively by the government in this short session.
The budget had a number of measures, including announcing some of what they've since brought forward, including changes to Billy Bishop Airport.
The usual stuff we've talked about before, you know, expanded transit investments, northern highways, that kind of thing.
What was not in the budget, which I have argued on our website at TVO.org probably should have been, was the Premier's desire to buy a private jet.
The Cabinet bought a private jet and then promptly sold it again when that went down like the proverbial lead balloon.
You know, and that I think really did suck up just so much of the oxygen this spring, that relatively short controversy in terms of the actual time it took.
