Another episode is here and we'll get to our fun conversation with Kyle Long of CBS in a little bit.

But first, we'll start off with a few stories that caught my eye in the sports media world over the last week.

And the first one involves a guy who we talked about in a previous episode who's kind of stolen the show on the desk recently.

It was moments after the Belgium-Iran match, on Fox and Zlatan gave his straightforward analysis after a 0-0, nil-nil draw.
Like I said, first half, almost falling asleep.
Second half, I fell asleep.
So this game, I think not a lot to talk about.
Another draw, so let's see what happens in the upcoming game, but

There's not many guys who can provide this type of analysis and get away with it, but given that this guy, Zlatan, is one of the best soccer players to ever do it, and...

He has given himself more leeway than a lot of other analysts because he can say things like this and not get absolutely roasted for it.

all right this guy's kind of got a point nil nil no goals not much action uh and he calls it what it is and i think that's what a lot of people both fans and suits really appreciate right you want people on the desk who are going to give their opinion but also entertain you and Kyle Long actually talked about that and we got into that but in this case in Zlatan's case I think he does a little bit of both of that and I think that's why aside from being an absolute superstar in his athletic career why Fox gave this guy a shot and it seems to be working out so well and I'm excited to see you know like most of the time or not most of the time sometimes If it's halftime of a game, you use the time to go to the bathroom or grab something to eat.

Anytime I'm going to see Zlatan on my television over the next couple of weeks until we march to the end of this FIFA World Cup, I'm going to be locked in.

He seems to be averaging one a week so far as this next stage of the FIFA World Cup gets ready to begin in the next week or so with one more round of group stage matches to come.
