Have you ever been so caught up in your screen that you didn't realize you were overwhelmed? You're answering messages, switching tabs, and making decisions.

Technology is supposed to help, yet another option can become another decision, another thing to learn, another reason to feel behind.

October is about the pause, and that connects to one of my pillars, human advantage in the age of AI.

What matters? What deserves my attention? What am I trying to create space for? My non-negotiables is a short meditation every morning.

Here, I'm using state language as a teaching map, not claiming that a few breaths change your measured brainwaves.

Micro-pauses with a modality like breathwork gives us a moment to step back from that busy mode.

Then ask, "What's driving this choice? Is it coming from contraction? What might feel like fear or expansion?" Contraction might sound like, "I'm behind.

I need this tool because everyone else has it." Expansion, however, might sound like, "This could support something that matters to me." Neither feeling makes a decision for you.

For me, that means where I put my attention shapes how I approach my work and what I choose next.

So where can you create more space for yourself? For people you care about? For your zone of genius? The work where your strengths and purpose come together? Look, I may sound like a broken record, talking about pausing and rechanneling your energy.
