And I mean, I think this is such an important conversation to have because people kind of go, oh, we'll do a co-production.
You know, you're like, but do you know what you have to do for all that, for those two sets of money? Right.
And so, yeah, the development process was excruciating for somebody who's doing it for the first time because you are in such a rush, right? You want your first film made and you think, oh, well, you know, it'll take two to three years.
And then, you know, you speak to people in the know and they kind of go, well, first feature probably take you seven to 10.
In fact, I made my first short film called The Silk, which is on my website, natboltdirector.com. And...
If you watch it, you'll see it has similar themes and it's by the same author, Joy Cowley.
And so that's how I developed this relationship with this absolutely beloved national treasure.
