So what are we gonna talk about in this Clubhouse exclusive episode? Well, today I am arriving here to talk to you about closing my business.

This is an emotional topic for me, and I will be honest, this episode is completely off the cuff.

I have arrived with my feelings and a really brief three-bullet outline of things I'm going to talk about, so...

We're just gonna get super honest in this one, but I've been mentioning this here, there, and everywhere on the show this year, and I felt like it was time that I finally made an episode about Sunsetting Softer Sounds, which is my podcast production studio that I've been running for the past five years.

So in this episode, I think I'm gonna walk you through the history of the business, how it started, and how it went, and then why I decided it was time to stop doing podcast production for clients.

I'll tell you about making that decision, what came next, the ways that I really took my time with sunsetting.

I've been sunsetting this business basically for a year now.

It's taken a full year to get to the point where I would call it closed.

And I'm really gonna let you know what happened in that process.

So I'll talk about the different logistical things, the different projects I had to do as I was sunsetting the studio.

and just offer some reflections on things I might do the same or differently, better or frankly worse next time.

I think there's some things I tried to like overachieve on in this process that I just extremely didn't need to.

I could have trusted myself and let it go a little sooner.

So I'll get into all of that as well.

As I do that, I just want to say thank you so much for being a member of the Clubhouse.

Your support of the show truly was one of the only ways I could make this decision to shut down the studio, to change the focus of my work.
