And I'll be honest with you guys before I get into anything here in my script, they looked terrible defensively to start the game.
Christian Brown and Jamal Murray combined for, I think it was 0 for 8 to start the game in total.
But the first unit was out there and I was worried about it after game one, obviously without Jamal Murray and him missing time.
But the starting five tonight, obviously Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Cam Johnson, Aaron Gordon, Christian Brown.
That's the group that we've been waiting to see Jamal Murray officially back after his personal reasons holding him out.
The numbers official 16 minutes, four points, two rebounds, three assists on one for four from the field.
This was about just him getting back on the floor and getting his rhythm back and getting him reconnected with this full on group.
A quiet night in the preseason after missing the first game is completely fine on all accounts.
And the real star of the first unit of the show here is Aaron Gordon, 18 points in 15 minutes, five for seven from the field, two for three from the three point line.
Another guy who was right behind him with another on night, Cam Johnson, 10 points, four for seven from the field, two for three from the three point line.
I don't know if you guys realized that at all or if I just never realized last year how fast his jump shot was.
But it seems like every single time he touches the ball, the ball is going up very quickly.
