Guess Bugy's real name... And how did you come up with DEEJAY BUGY?  2\. “Bugy, you have ONE song. If this doesn't get Ugandans out of their chairs, your DJ licence is revoked. What are you playing?” 3\. What's your take around the AMAPIANO takeover?/ Dancing Deejays Culture?  TOPICS  \- Ugandan Politicians denied VISAs into USA. The Ugandan delegation, usually 30 people, was this time reduced to only 5, as the rest were denied visas to attend the United Nations General Assembly meeting, in the USA... If Uganda is allowed only five people on an international trip, WHICH five government jobs are absolutely necessary? \- Updates from the Tooro Kingdom; UBC TV journalist Kijanangoma was selected to be the new Tooro king. Tooro Kingdom’s nine counties have been tasked with contributing at least Shs 1 million in cash, two cows and other food items towards feeding guests at the September 29 coronation of Edward Rukidi Nyabongo (plan is to raise 1 billion). They also BANNED & PIG, hens, goats, sweet potatoes, cassava and beans are banned by the culture. DO YOU STILL THINK HIS WORKMATES SAVED HIM AS "EDWARD UBC"? / What Ugandan food is BANNED from your house?...  \- CHURCH CONGREGATION attending an overnight service were attached by kifeesi and robbed. The attack is linked to an ongoing land dispute between the church landlord and a wealthy businessman. CCTV footage reveals a shocking late-night raid on Faith Family Church in Kabuusu while people were inside praying. How can this happen during a service? https://x.com/CKiwumulo/status/2101290413973799268?s=20 /WHO IS TO BLAME?  \- The government has been urged to phase out PLE and UCE exams to curb school dropouts. Prof Waswa Balunywa, former Principal of Makerere University Business School (MUBS), decried the millions of children who drop out of school annually, noting that phasing out the exams will ensure continuity of learners. William Odoch, president of the Rotary Club of Kampala Platinum, called for sustainable solutions rather than focusing on symptoms.  Nothing Serious Topic: DO UGANDANS ACTUALLY LIKE UGANDAN MUSIC? but first, “Everybody here: give me your TOP FIVE UGANDAN SONGS RIGHT NOW/ Songs you would voluntarily play TODAY.” On Apple Music Uganda this week, Joshua Baraka's “YoYo” is No. 1 and King Saha's “Wewe” is No. 3 — but Rema, Asake and Wizkid also sit in the Top 5. So it isn't simply “Ugandans don't listen to Ugandan music”; the reality is much messier. \- Guys… do Ugandans ACTUALLY like Ugandan music as much as we claim we do? \- Does the crowd force DJs to play Nigerian/Amapiano music, or have DJs trained the crowd to expect it? \- Are Ugandan artists making enough music specifically for nightlife? Or are we unfairly asking DJs to force songs into clubs that weren't made for that environment? \- Why does OLD Ugandan music sometimes work better in clubs than NEW Ugandan music? \- “If Ugandan DJs decided that from tomorrow 60% of every club set MUST be Ugandan music… would Kampala nightlife become BETTER or WORSE?”
