Because I've always got that original feeling still in my gut, which is just that it's the most stupid thing we do.

it's been 15 years, like... um but like i uh i genuinely feel like a sense of like oh it's it's statics like we we we were planning we were planning a holiday and it was like oh no we can't go that weekend

Yeah, I mean, I feel like maybe I would get, you know, that old feeling when we're back in the same country and we can sort of do it like, you know, in the same room or stream it or do something a bit more special.

But unfortunately, the last two statics have, I think, have been quite... quite you know so stripped back which is fine but like it is one of those things where

yeah i don't i i find it i find it interesting that you you say that the reason i love it fractionally more is because you still think you still have an uneasy voice thinking it's the stupidest thing we do and your primary complaint is that we can't make more of a bigger deal of

This is the thing that leaning into that is what makes me feel more comfortable about it.

When we do it like this, it makes me feel like we're treating it really super seriously.

Whereas if I do a silly little song and we, you know, we film it and we, you know, we make it, you know, then it's like a joke.

Does that make sense? I guess I do feel less easy about it when we do it like this because it feels like we think it's really serious.

But for anyone who's just joining us on our 350th episode, the 15th annual Static Awards, night two.

weird way, that one is actually kind of a compliment because it means you could have been good.

Because that award, for those who don't know, is the wasting potential award for a potentially good concept being wasted on poor execution.
