Most of the time, they don't want you to even, they don't want you to know the owner of the house.
They'll just tell you this is the amount to be paid, this is your agency fee and all of the fees without you knowing, getting to meet the landlord or the owner of the house.
experience like when it comes to, you know, maybe payments? Were you ever being told that, okay, the main house is maybe 1.2 or like that and how much did it end up being?
Okay, the actual rent, what they told me, what the agent told me is 1 million.
Then when I wanted to renew, I'm supposed to pay 1 million, right? So when I paid the money, my landlord, because this time around, the landlord said we should pay directly to this man.
So I think they are one of the problems that, major problems, not necessarily the landlord.
Some of them even tell the landlord to increase the money, knowing very well that people are actually struggling to save.
So I feel they just need to do something about this agent and landlord relationship.
I won't say they should quit their job as the agent, but there should be a structure in which there will be 100% transparency between the caretaker, the landlord, and the person, the occupant.
