Hard Watch Hotspur

Let's start with the great Paul Merson calling this a cup final against Everton.

Was it that crucial, Julie, for a third match, fourth match of the season? Was it that important?

My main feeling about Spurs is resignation followed by relief, and that's what I felt.

Because we didn't lose, for the second match in succession, we didn't lose.

Hooray.

I thought actually that Van Hecker looked very good because he was passing forward, and that was a nice surprise.

The only thing was that what happens after he passes forward? Not a lot.

And there I was thinking, oh, well, look, look at Denali.

He's really putting in a shift at last.

He's settling in.

Now we know he's got the knock.

So we'll probably next see him, what, start of 27, 28 season, something like that.

It wasn't bad.

We look very good for 30 minutes.

And then, I don't know, they just suddenly realised who they were.

They were Spurs.

You know, they didn't know each other.

It all sort of petered out a bit.

There was just a lovely nostalgic moment when Kinski just turned back into Hugo Lloris and did one of those stupid fuck-ups of a pass out.

But fortunately, he redeemed himself.

And I mean, that really sums up the match for me.

We didn't concede.

Definitely signs of improvement defensively.

I thought Van Hecker was really good and Mickey was pretty decent.

no sign of ppp but i thought archie played okay and robertson who i still don't like i will never like he was okay what did you make of this sort of defensive stability allied to all else going forward
