All right, well, good morning, New Life Church.
It's good to see you all.
Good morning.
This morning, we're gonna be looking at something very significant, something maybe that we don't think about a whole lot, maybe not too often, but today we are landing at the temple.
The last few weeks, we've been building up the case of what king we need.
We need a king who is the divine warrior king, but we also need a king who is human.
But then vaguely and shortly last week, we asked the question, What about a king? Why do we need a king? What's significant about a king? What answers are the king looking to answer? What are they answering? And today we come to the title of our message and it's this.
We have a king who brings us home.
The temple and the tabernacle were not ends in themselves.
Land and promise.
Land and dwelling place.
That was the place.
And with Israel, we see that land is then picked up, land is promised, and they get to enjoy the land.
However, we also see... that God is dwelling amongst the land, but divided behind a curtain.
And today we're going to see how Jesus Christ, the true King, comes to bring us home.
Comes to bring us not only to a land, but to a land where God is also dwelling, where there is no more dividing curtain.
