Paul Chambers is an associate senior fellow in the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute’s Thailand Studies programme. A prominent scholar best known for his expertise on the military’s role in Thai politics, Paul Chambers has spent more than two decades off-and-on in Thailand, both teaching and researching. His other books include *Khaki Capital: The Political Economy of the Military in Southeast Asia* (co-edited, NIAS 2017).
