If you think losing weight means giving up your favourite foods or relying on willpower forever, this episode will change the way you think. **Jacqueline lost an incredible 33.7kg (5 stone 4lbs)—and…
Hi.
Yep.
So I'm Jacqueline.
Uh, I live in a town called Coatbridge, which is just outside Glasgow, and the main reason for joining the LIVE360 program was to lose weight.
Could you kinda do a brief history of your kinda dieting history and weight loss history? Like, what did it l- look like before starting with us?
Yeah, sure.
Um, before starting with the program, I think I'd done just about every diet that there was on the market.
I had done Slimming World, Weight Watchers, shake diets, cabbage soup diets, cutting out carb diets, cutting out meat diets.
You name it, I'd done it, um, all of which were successful briefly, and then any weight that I had lost, I gained plus at least half again, and it was a constant yo-yo cycling of losing weight and gaining more than I had lost, which brought me to the point of poor health, poor mobility, and really down mentally.
Oh, decades.
Decades, and da- more than half my adult life.
In fact, more than half my life.
Uh, I would say I probably started dieting when I was late teens, early 20s, and I'm now 56, so yeah, many, many years.
So Jacqueline, you said that your kinda mobility and your confidence was being impacted.
Um, I remember when we first chatted before you started, the big motivation for you was going to visit your daughter in Japan.
Could you tell us a bit more about, like, what your thoughts were about that trip, um, at that moment in time?
Yeah.
Um, we were going over to see Eve in March, and, uh, I knew my mobility wasn't good, and my fear was not being able to keep up with all the walking.
Um, I was concerned that I would be holding the family back.
Um, my mobility was so poor, tying shoelaces was a problem.
