Yeah, so as of Sunday night, we're recording this on June 16th on a Tuesday evening.
I don't know if last time we had the pod, if we knew we were for sure going to have a UND player raise the cup, but it was between Cole Smith for Vegas and Jackson Blake for Carolina.
And it would have been cool to see Cole Smith win it too, but Jackson Blake raises the cup at 22 years old, which is awesome for him.
Obviously a really pretty cool and surreal moment for him to be able to do that.
And he ended up, he finished for the team lead in points for Carolina in the playoffs.
Didn't get the consummate trophy like Jonathan Tays did in 2010, but it went to a very well-deserved place.
Uh, Jordan stall who had just an unbelievable face off rating and, you know, went, what do you have five goals in the first five games of the finals? So, uh, he played a huge part for Carolina in that series, just like Blake did that whole second line.
I can't remember if it was the second or third line, but Stan Coven, Taylor Hall, and Jackson Blake just carried Carolina to those playoffs.
So it was really good to see his presence out there and watch him make such a big impact on the team.
And then, obviously, I don't know if it's obvious, but his new contract starts up next year.
Anyone got anything to add on the playoffs before we kind of head into the Clay Matvick interview? Anything? Cool.
