Forget it.
Welcome back to the Nastygram RPG podcast.
Feeling it too hard is the poison to the heart of a sinner.
Redemption.
Now I'm waking to paint and shaking.
I got somebody but-
[jazz music] The camera follows over the shoulder of a man as the door swings open to a jazz club.
He moves down the entryway.
We see patrons and staff look with recognition and nod, smile, say hello, as he comes into the main room and approaches the bar.
The club is starting to fill up.
We hear the musicians tuning their instruments, getting ready to get started up on stage.
The bartender approaches.
"Well, Max, good to see you.
Twins are sounding great tonight." Max orders his drink with just the faint hint of his remaining German accent.
As the bartender makes the drink, Max's eyes scan the room.
They pan across a woman sitting a few seats down the bar.
The woman is strikingly beautiful, in a black dress, dark red lipstick, bright blue eyes, and long blonde hair.
She looks right at Max and gives him an alluring smile.
Max smiles politely and nods.
His eyes scan on, trying to get the attention of one of the musicians who seems to be warming up on stage.
And suddenly there's motion to his side, and the blonde woman has approached and sat next to him.
There's a strange look of, well, annoyance almost on his face.
And the woman leans in close, says something close to his ear, and Max's face grows strange, kind of going flat, expressionless, just for a moment.
Suddenly he turns, his eyes are wide, and his attention is locked on the woman.
Sometime later, as the house lights begin to dim, one of the musician looks out, his eyes now looking for Max.
He frowns, his brow furrows, as he sees Max arm-in-arm with that striking blonde woman, leaving the bar.
