So one thing that I would advise everyone, it is very important for anybody who is an employee right now to focus on what their work mission is, but always have your own goals and where you want to see yourself.

Because it's key to separate that I am a man who works for UN women versus I am a man who is just a person who is passionate about human rights.

There are two things that intertwine, but there are also things that need to vocalize or amplify at a personal level.

It is important to have your own personal development goals aside from you being just an employee because jobs, they end.

And we're not saying that you shouldn't focus on what your values and your mission at your work is.

but also focus on your talents and the things that you think are your strengths.

I'll give you an example.

I worked for Policy Forum for seven years.

At Policy Forum, I was the communications and advocacy and gender focal point.

But also, I'm a person who's passionate and vocal.

I like to speak about human rights.

I don't like to see people oppressed because I know how it feels to be oppressed.

I know gender-based violence, like a toxic relationship.

I've been through that.

I took the talents that I had from work.

There was a program that I really, really liked, and that was my baby at Policy Forum.

If you spoke about the breakfast debate, you don't speak about breakfast debate without Iman.

It's a public dialogue where we talk about policies and people come there.

Iman is there.

So I took that because that is my passion.

That is something that I love.

And I took it and ran with it.

And I said, this is something that I'm going to develop.
