Eric Nystrom played 10 seasons in the NHL. Nearly 600 games. And over a career that long, he learned a lot about what happens when things aren't going your way. Because even when you know you're…
it's just consistency right you know that if you consistently stay with the same you know with the with the right habits something it's going to work it's going to work itself out it's you know you don't want to veer from from the plan just because you're facing a little adversity you just got to stay consistent you know you know in your mind if you're doing the right things or if you're doing the wrong things and if you know that you're doing the right things over and over and over again that you're going to break through whatever that barrier is.
But if you try to reinvent the wheel, and get away from what's consistently worked, that's when you might find some problems.
Like for me as a player, if I wasn't playing well, or if I wasn't getting results and I knew I was doing the right things, I knew that eventually it was gonna break through.
But if I tried to change my game and be a player that I wasn't, I knew that I was gonna be in trouble.
So just understanding that, all right, it might not be at this moment in time that I'm having this success, but if I stick to what I've consistently done my whole life to get to this point, I'm going to be okay.
And when you look back on things, whatever that little speed bump, when you look back on that hard time, you realize that it's just a little blip on a successful path.
