Speaking of the students, have the students ever said something to you after class that goes, this is why I am doing this?
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
We have one lady that calls not me specifically, but just yoga in general, the fountain of youth.
Her story is fantastic.
She was about 65 and she was practically immobile.
She was not able to do anything.
And her doctor said, you have to get moving.
Please pick something and made a list of things.
And she just said, OK, I'll try yoga.
So she went from barely moving and now she's nearly 80 and she's doing headstands, handstands.
Like, believe me, that does not have to be within the body of your practice.
You can simply just do chair yoga and get a beautiful practice out of it.
But it's just astonishing to see someone who is practically immobile now able to do these really intense poses.
from practicing and getting her body moving, the joints really firm up as you age.
And that's why you get the people who get like, what is that, the elbow thing where you can't really bend your arm
anymore.
So we have cartilage and some other liquids in our joints.
And yoga is one of the best things for joints because we're pulling it in opposite directions.
So you're waking up your joints and it makes you agile for a lot longer.
This is why doctors will recommend it to the elderly.
And anybody who's aging, just even the most basic yoga can help you with your joints.
So yeah, there's fantastic stories out there.
