In today's episode we sit down with five members of the Municipals and what's been going on in their lives! We dive into some of experiences Troy and John had attending the Women's US Open, the…

Is that any, anybody else? Uh, I, I, I don't think you guys talked to it cause it was after the last chop sesh, but Ashton, I think it's a good time before we talk about Riv, um, Um, well, I want to ask you specifically, because I've been trying to get you to play there for a while.
How was your Cal club experience, man? Uh,
I don't know what you're talking about.
Oh,
Was it that day at Lincoln, you mean?
Sorry, Juan.
Lincoln's great, especially when it's free.
Don't forget that, Juan.
Cal Club was really fun.
I mean, I feel like everything I'm going to say is obvious.
I feel like it's probably going to be similar to what Troy talks about his experience later.
But, yeah, I mean, it was really great.
I think what's really...
And I think because I was lucky, as I've talked about in the past, to grow up playing Cusco, you know, Corcoran Shaw, all about the golf, very minimalist, like, you know, way before that was like a thing.
I think I looked back.
Cusco was literally the golf course.
Corcoran Shaw was it was the first golf course they built after Sandals, which is kind of bizarre to think about.
So I didn't even know what I kind of had as a kid, but I think what that's made me appreciate is, I mean, I've made this analogy with like John is like, I wouldn't say that like when it comes to like minimalist architecture like that, like, I guess that's what I like, but I mean, I think there's a place for maximalists.
Like I was having this conversation with Nick like last week, you know, in my mind, like old Mac is like maximalist, right? And I love it.
Like, and so I think that there's a place for both.
I'm not one of these, like, if they didn't find the green, I'm not interested.
But I think what I do just naturally gravitate towards when you are lucky enough to play a private course, because unfortunately I see this mainly with private courses, but a place that's like, we're just interested in the golf, right? And I think Cal Club just does that exceptionally well where there's not a pool.
I think William even said, he was like, I think his direct quote was something along the lines of like, you know, people that appreciate Cow Club or people just like, he's like, we all come here to talk about golf, like over breakfast and then go out and play golf and then come in and like drink and talk about the golf we're going to play.
And I'm like, that is.
what I love like if you know I don't need the pool I don't need all the amenities like I want you know a couple good beers on draft and a stiff cocktail and some you know a burger or two and just like a really good golf course and I won't go on and on because I'm not Andy Johnson but like the golf course was exceptional um I think one thing that was interesting was that I sort of was like commenting to William and he agreed with me is one thing I didn't expect is the front nine and back nine at Cal Club like fundamentally feel different.
