And we have to learn to respect one another, especially when we differ with each other.
One of the weaknesses that we are facing at the moment within the ummah across the globe is when we differ with someone, we tend to abuse them, insult them, and disrespect them in a way that we weaken the entire ummah.
And this is something that needs to be spoken about often because we have not matured when it comes to difference of opinion.
But we make those ten such that it becomes really difficult for us to navigate even when there is a common problem that we need to be together in order to resolve.
So to be able to set aside differences for a common goal or achievement requires a lot of maturity and it requires understanding.
I may not like you per se, but I'm going to have to work with you for the upliftment of the entire ummah.
When you have a ship and you're 2,000 people, a thousand top deck and bottom deck and so on, you know that we cannot allow one person to drill a hole from the bottom deck simply because they have a problem with the guys at the top who will have to be giving them the water.
Because you think you're closer to the water being at the bottom, I can just make a hole and get my water.
No matter what you feel, your feelings aside, you will have to cooperate with those guys if you want to survive.
Why is it that we feel that nothing is improving the situation? Well, there are many reasons and I'm sure a lot of us have automatically become political analysts and activists and each one has his view and his opinion.
There are amongst us people who don't talk to each other over something petty, over something that you can throw in the bin, honestly.
Are you mature enough to be able to greet a person? Why do you think that Allah Almighty has ordained through the blessed lips of Nabi Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam that a believer should not ignore another believer for more than three days? Why do you think that is mentioned? It's because whether you like it or you don't like it, some level of cooperation is going to have to exist.
