What Classic Movie Deserves a Theater Re-Release? Batman, Transformers 1986 & More | Movies at Grandma's House Bonus Episode

Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. Isaac is back with a bonus audio episode while Movies at Grandma's House gears up for **Season 6 — dropping next week!** Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss when it drops. But first — a question that every movie lover has an answer to: **"What classic movie would you most want to see re-released in theaters?"** With **theatrical re-releases** making a massive comeback, Isaac digs into some of the biggest ones happening right now and on the horizon: 🦇 **Tim Burton's original Batman** — back on the big screen this month 🦇 **Batman: Mask of the Phantasm** — a fan favorite finally getting its moment 🤖 **Transformers: The Movie (1986)** — the animated classic returning to theaters 🐢 **Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles** — already had its re-release run 🏰 **Disney classics** — the re-release train keeps rolling For Isaac, the answer is easy: **The Rescuers Down Under (1990)**. The opening sequence — Cody soaring through the sky on the back of a giant golden eagle — is something he's always wanted to experience on the big screen. That sense of childhood wonder, of feeling like you were *flying*, is exactly the kind of memory that deserves the full theatrical treatment. He also reflects on seeing **The Lion King (1994)** re-released in 2009 for its 15th anniversary — and going as a full-grown adult without hesitation. The stampede scene on the big screen hit just as hard decades later. That's the power of these movies. Isaac also touches on the **cost of moviegoing today** and how local theaters with budget-friendly tickets are the perfect place to catch these classic re-releases without breaking the bank. **What's your pick?** Drop your answer on Threads, email the show, or join the conversation in the **free Beehiiv community** — you just might get a shout-out! 🎥 *Remember to be kind and rewind.*
