New Oliver Stone Film Gets Cast

We're starting with Oliver Stone, a filmmaker that I like.

And he's doing a lot of documentaries over the last couple of years.

of years but he's going to do a fiction film now called White Lies with the principal photography commencing shortly.

Good cast lined up for it.

Josh Hartnett, Ellen Barkin, Willem Dafoe and Michael Douglas.

So some of that cast as we know he has worked with before.

So he's written and directed this project is told across three generations the film follows Jack played by Hartnett who's a child of divorce now repeating his parents' mistakes in his own marriage and with his own children sort of feeling trapped he embarks on a lust-filled journey to escape only to find himself more lost than before and when he meets a woman whose life is the opposite to his own he begins an unexpected journey on the path to rediscovery

That sounds good.

We'll keep an eye on that one for sure.

You have some Oscars news for us?

Yeah, Oscars a little bit early for this news, but it's the honorary Oscars and they always announce who's going to be receiving them later in the year.

Two really good choices here because I suppose what it does pick up is people who've been nominated many times and have contributed so much to cinema but never actually won an Oscar down through the years.

And that's actress Glenn Close and filmmaker Ridley Scott.

Oh, two great

choices there.

You know, I always it just happens actors sometimes.

It depends who they're up against.

I mean, Glenn Close is such an amazing actor.

And, you know, I kind of think about Annette Bening as well.

I just think, you know, Annette has to get the honorary one at some point.

She keeps being nominated.

And it's just that year you can be up against someone who's just walking away with everything.

And that's the way it goes.

But very deserved.

Glenn Close and Ridley Scott.
