I'm your host Greg Kennedy and this week I am joined by Dustin and Jeff who play in a band called The Secrecy.

The Secrecy is a new post-punk band featuring a few names that you definitely know, we'll get into that in a minute, but I did want to mention right up top that they recently released their debut album Pins and Needles out now on Disorder Recordings.

If you need a post-punk record that's going to make you dance but also make you feel real sad inside, this is a good one.

If you've been into black metal pretty much at any point in your life, then you know Jeff.

He currently plays in bands like Altars of the Moon and Bringers of Disease and Chrome Waves and Contrition and Negative Mantra, and in the past has played in bands like Abigail Williams and Wolfhammer.

You might also know Dustin as the drummer for Flesher or Ritual or Sacred Leather, or perhaps most famously, his role in the band Skeleton Witch.

And I'll just tell you right now, we do get into Skeleton Witch a little bit on this episode.

And before we get into things, I do want to make one correction about something I said that I totally got wrong later in the episode.

I used Metallica's Moth to Flame as an example for something, and I totally meant spit out the bone.

Jeff and I also talk about a statistic that was recently published by Luminate, and this is the exact statistic.

US CD sales jumped 16% in the first half of 2026, reaching 16.3 million units and outpacing vinyl's 6.7% growth.

Here we got the corrections, we got the introductions, we got that download code for the third Necrophagist record, which I believe I gave to everybody, so I think we're good here.

Alright, let's get on with the podcast! Alright, so I am here with The Secrecy, specifically Dustin and Jeff, and I will let them introduce themselves and what roles they play in the band.
