A series of conversations that explore our mortality, our relationship with death and grief, and how we connect to our dead.
You know, I think we should be talking about death as much as we talk about life and birth.

We're going to speak with artists, scientists, therapists, morticians, atheists, and animists.
There's been a lot of talk about good deaths or unmedicalized deaths.
I have seen very medicalized deaths be very beautiful.
And the dead body is like the most gentle, inert, you know, harmless thing.
And I wish we could get more people behind the scenes of the mortuary just to kind of normalize what death looks like.

But here on The Mortal Podcast, we hope that by turning towards death, we might also wake up to life.
I think rightly viewed, death is something that actually is not the opposite of life, but is actually part of the fulfillment of life.

Engaging with our mortality and the truth that our lives are finite could change the way that we live.

Speaking about death can also impact how we die, giving us greater awareness and potentially more choice.
