Tammy & the Dynamic Duo

Well, I'll contribute my thoughts on Live Translate because that's not technically from this event.

I was able to use Live Translate last fall.

My family and I took an Amtrak from Illinois back to Arizona.

And in the little car in the room next to ours in the car was two ladies from China.

And I was able to use live translate so that when they were speaking, I could get the translation.

My phone was showing my words back to them.

And it was nice for one of them could speak English, but her mom, purely native, fully Chinese.

And it was nice to be able to have a small conversation with her as well.

Just, you know, in the brief time that we were on the train together, live translate is, you don't think of it as a big feature, but Apple has a lot of little features that add up to big things, and that's one of them to me.

And I think that, you know, that for me as well, this year and last year's is, you know, the AirPod Pros.

I've got the, not the ones from this year, obviously.

I'm not even sure I got the ones from last year.

But they are the AirPod Pro 2s, at least, however old that is now.

And I love these things.

Now, I mentioned it before, you know, I appreciate the extra features in the AirPod Pros because I have a, you know, the hearing's not so great on the right-hand side, and And ironically, like my hearing aid that I have to support the hearing on that side that cost an absolute fortune is nowhere near as good as my AirPod Pros once I did the test thing and set it up.

They are absolutely fantastic for that.

So I've not used the Translate, but I'm glad to hear that it works because for me, it would be like, yeah, that's a big deal.

Like everything they do with the AirPods is far more impressive at the moment than than a lot of the other stuff they do because it's not it doesn't feel as incremental as everything else right the airpods especially the pros are still in that we're putting the cool stuff in you know um so i may actually upgrade my version of those yeah

That's kind of where I'm at, too.

Like you, I'm pretty sure the AirPod Pros that I have are the Gen 2 version.

And I loved my Gen 1s, and what I admired about the Gen 2s were they were smaller, they were easier to fit in my ears and all, and the sound is amazing.

What I didn't realize until I watched this event was that the— because, as I said, I haven't really been in the game for a while— And they were saying, oh, yeah, you know, and now with this, you can get the sliders with the volumes and stuff.

And I'm like, but I already have that.

And that's when it occurred to me.

I'm like, oh, wait, that's right.
