Chasing Gold and Embracing Motherhood

Yeah.

So I've got one kid so far, hopefully more in the future, but right now I've got a son.

So he's 22 months old.

We're coming up on his second birthday now and he is just amazing.

Love of my life for sure.

Yeah.

Isn't it amazing? Well, when that baby comes, life just changes and you're in the, you're in the, in the toddler years now.

So you'll be busy.

The Olympics have nothing on you now, girl.

I know.

Well, and they say that, you know, kids get the athleticism from their mom, which I'm grateful for.

Not that dad's not athletic.

He definitely gets it from both of us for sure.

But he runs everywhere.

all the time.

He is a very active little boy, but I'm just so grateful to be able to have that title, to be able to call myself a mom.

It was a two and a half year process through IVF for my husband and myself.

So there was no guarantee that that was going to be a part of the process.

I've got stage four endometriosis.

So it made infertility a big thing in my world.

And for a lot of years, we tried and tried, figured out why.

But then it was a long journey with multiple failed transfers, multiple egg retrievals, just to be able to get to the point of being able to become a mom.

So that part of motherhood is not lost on me on how precious life is and how it's not guaranteed for everybody, for sure.

Right, it is.

And, you know, we can just start with this conversation now because a lot of women are experiencing this.
