Yeah, so, uh, the event that we were at had a big focus on alternative investments, and that's anything that's not stocks or bonds, which we would call traditional assets.

So I had the opportunity to talk about some of the innovation that's happening in the alternative investment space, in particular with how some of these deals are structured-

... and the ability for these new structures to provide access not only to the wealthiest people, uh, but across the board, uh, to investors broadly.

So, um, how is access to, um, how is access changing? Like, how's that whole le- market, like, how's that access changing overall, like, in that landscape?

Yeah, so historically, if you wanted to get investment into an alternative asset class, things like private equity or real estate-

That means you'd actually have to go into a company that was made just for that particular investment and actually subscribe and become a member of that company.

Usually minimums were high, a million, 2.5 million, and so it really limited the type of people or the families or institutions that could get access to these investment opportunities.

Over the past 15 years, uh, companies across the board from some of the biggest institutions in the world to a lot of really cool and interesting startups have started to offer investment products with much lower minimums and-

And when that happens, I mean, um, does, does it at times does it become like commoditized at that point? Like, there's, there's just more access to it as well, so like, you know, pros and cons, right?

Yeah, so just because you can do something [laughs] doesn't always mean that you should do something.
