Chapter 55: The Krok Sucks Group Chat

Deep in the bowels of Croc's Castle, as the forces of the Rebellion make landfall, we find the oddest of family reunions.

Hello, Father.

Good morning, my dear.

Beginning the day with a bit of a siege, are we?

I thought I'd give you the opportunity to surrender.

Oh, how quaint.

What did you expect my response to be?

I expected you to refuse.

Oh.

I'm so predictable.

You've spread your forces too thin, Father.

Half of your armada is across the system and won't be here in time to stop me.

Well, you seem to have outplayed me, haven't you?

Yes.

Surrender or you'll grind my castle to dust, is that what I'm to expect? That's correct.

And shall I take this moment to remind you that I am immortal, dear?

Your army isn't.

Armies may be rebuilt.

I don't need to kill you when I can bury you under the rubble of your own castle.

You can spend eternity buried in the substrate of your own planet.

How does that sound? Are

you certain you have the fortitude, dear? You are, of course, overlooking the fact that your beloved Dr Maddox is in this castle as well.

And you are forgetting who you're dealing with.

I see.

Very impressive.
