Mets Podcast - We Gotta Believe
Jun 17, 2026 · 53 min · 13 segments
Follow along as Kevin Clancy (aka KFC Barstool) and Clem (aka The Clem Report) battle through another season with The New York Mets. Will the Mets finally make history with Uncle Stevie (Steve Cohen)…
No entities detected.
Don't you just think those 12, 15, whatever, delightful men and all the coaches and all the staff members get rings.
We get mental rings as well.
So, Kevin, congrats on your first crown.
How does
it feel? Oh, my God.
What I was going to say is I think winning a championship is like becoming the president.
You get called Mr.
President forever.
Yes, there have been more presidents and new presidents after you.
You are still Mr.
President.
It's something I never thought was going to happen.
It actually – It's impacting me as a Mets fan because the dark years of the Knicks killed me.
Like the 90s and very early 2000s.
I would say...
My Knicks fandom in the 90s and early 2000s comes close to my Mets insanity.
It's not still Mets, but it's damn close.
And Dolan and the 2000s really killed me to the point that I did stop becoming a psycho.
I didn't watch as much as you and Hubs and people at Meek did.
It wasn't an everyday thing for me.
And then we won.
And it was cool because this was a culmination of the last 30 years for us.
So that was okay.
But it has me thinking, like, if I really did take a step back from the Mets and I stopped being a psycho, and, like, I have been.
Like, I really have been kind of removing myself for the last couple years because it's been so tough.
