5:03

For the Lord God is my strength and my song.

Marshall SegalHost

5:09

And he has become me.

Marshall SegalHost

5:11

My salvation.

Marshall SegalHost

5:12

The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

Why do we sing? I see four big reasons in just that one sentence.

Marshall SegalHost

5:23

First, because God is our salvation.

Marshall SegalHost

5:27

He saved us.

Marshall SegalHost

5:31

I was dead in my trespasses and sins and unbelief, and he pulled me out of the pit.

Marshall SegalHost

5:37

He sent his son to die for me.

Marshall SegalHost

5:41

He saved me from sin and death and the hell that I deserved.

Marshall SegalHost

5:46

He bore on the cross our sins against him.

Marshall SegalHost

Are you battling guilt or shame or persistent temptation right now? We have a savior.

Marshall SegalHost

We sing because he saved us.

Marshall SegalHost

6:07

Second, we sing because he's Lord.

Marshall SegalHost

I will trust, it says, and will not be afraid for the Lord God is my strength.

Marshall SegalHost

6:15

The Savior that we sing about, he is Lord.

Marshall SegalHost

6:19

He saved us and he rules over us.

Marshall SegalHost

6:23

All of our allegiance is to him and any other allegiance that we have in this life.

Marshall SegalHost

6:29

to a spouse, to children, to a church, to a workplace.

Marshall SegalHost

6:33

Any other allegiance we have, we have for his sake, for his glory.
