Wellbeing is the word no one can define, yet on everyones lips. It might be true nowadays that 'wellbeing' is such a general term it makes us uncertain of what we should expect of it. After all, we…
So it's quite a buzzword at the moment, I think.
It's one of those, we had microbiome about 18 months ago and now the whole world is alight with our need for wellbeing, which of course none of us argue with at all, do we? We want to be well, don't we? Now, my first problem was, so is the beginning of a set of six episodes about wellbeing.
The point of which is going to be, I looked at the definitions of wellbeing and I'm not going to give you one today because there were so many.
And I don't know about you, Mark, but it was confusing as hell.
Yeah.
What is wellbeing?
No one could answer this.
Yeah.
So I took it upon myself or ourselves, Mark, to kind of pick apart what we think the major components of well-being might be.
So we're going to run this quite similarly.
So you have a chance to listen in to our thought process and how we're pulling this kind of topic apart and how it might apply to you or not.
What I do want to say, we are not gurus.
Oh,
no. You're doomed.
We are.
Tiny bit doomed.
But you're only as doomed as Mark and I, so that's fair as far as I'm
concerned.
And what we are trying to do is we're trying to get to the bottom of what wellbeing is in order so that we can begin to actually strategise and make some effort to do the best for ourselves, right? Yeah, that's good.
So we've defined kind of, or we've extracted, I call them pillars, you know, six parts, components of wellbeing.
And I thought we'd start with the kind of easiest one.
So let's take the word literally, wellbeing, and think about health, wellbeing and health.
