This episode is going to be for you if you've ever had that thought, like, I'm not ignoring it.

Or, right? Like, if you've ever just thought your spouse's expectations around the house are too high, or if your spouse's emotions make you so uncomfortable that you would do almost anything to make it better or just to get out of that situation or avoid the emotions all around.

A few episodes back, I talked about how the different attachment styles see the mental load, how they interact with the mental load, how they get triggered around the mental load.

If you are already triggered just hearing the word mental load, like come up with a different name for it because it's a concept that exists.

Even if it makes us uncomfortable and instead of avoiding it, we just want to find ways to deal with it that are effective and feel good for us.

So in that episode a few episodes ago, I gave a brief overview of all of the different attachment styles and kind of just the bird's eye view, if you will.

Then I did an entire episode on just the anxious attachment style and what somebody with an anxious attachment style needs to do if they want to feel better around the mental load and better with their spouse.

This is for somebody with a dismissive avoidant attachment style and what you can do to make it so that this isn't something that your spouse is bringing up all the time.

So whether you identify with that style or not, if you've ever felt the way that I was talking before, like, again, you're in the right place.

I want to help you get to a place where you're not in a constant fight, where this kind of stuff doesn't get in the way of connection or the intimacy that you want.

So if you resonate with that, if you know I definitely have a dismissive avoidant attachment style, if your spouse has a dismissive avoidant attachment style, this could also be a great listen for you because you'll get to hear what the recommendations are and how I break them down.
