So what am I talking about? What I want to do is talk about the mental load, but I want to do it from kind of a different perspective than I've done before.

And I don't mean from a default parent versus a non-default parent kind of way.

We kind of assume that our spouse sees it and understands it like we do, which leads to so many issues and miscommunications.

Why are we seeing these different interpretations of the mental load? And why are we seeing kind of the same or similar interpretations, even if they're different? So really what this boils down to is one of the things that really influences how a person interprets the mental load, views the mental load, treats the mental load, deals with the mental load is based on attachment style.

Most people think it's just the mental load that is the issue, right? We have to share it better.

My spouse needs to care more about it or care less depending on who you're talking to.

But our attachment style really influences how you see it and how you respond to it.

And I think when you understand this, like not only for yourself, like how your attachment style is influencing your relationship with the mental load, but also how your spouse's attachment style influences how they're thinking about the mental load.

And you actually can get somewhere with it, right? You don't just kind of like repeat the same patterns.

So I seriously cannot wait for you to hear this episode because I'm going to go through all of the attachment styles and how they view, interact, deal with the mental load.
