**Your slow cooker can make hot chocolate, yes really! In this Crockpot recipe we will show you how to use Milky Bar white chocolate buttons to create a slow cooker white hot chocolate.** **This…
and of course you can use milk chocolate if you prefer but with white chocolate it's epic so what do you need to make a slow cooker white hot chocolate you need a lot of milk so we start off with 960 ml which is four cups of whole milk or full fat milk 300 ml which is one and a quarter cup of single cream or half and half cream But what's interesting here is in the UK, we actually sell them in 300ml tubs.
Because isn't it annoying when you follow a recipe and they don't use it all? And you end up with that little bit left in the tub.
Don would be saying, I'll put that in my coffee.
But you know what I mean? It's annoying, isn't it? So that uses the exact amount of a full one of the small tubs.
And then 200g, which is 7oz of white chocolate buttons.
Now, this is the annoying bit.
the bags aren't a full 100 grams anymore.
They've snuck them down further and further like they keep doing.
They make all our chocolate smaller.
And then we feel greedy when we go and have more chocolate because we aren't satisfied with the size of the chocolate we started off with.
So you can use two bags or you can have a third bag and then you've got some for sprinkling on top and just enjoying.
And then two teaspoons of vanilla extract.
And then I also added some mini marshmallows for serving as well.
And then load everything, put the marshmallows into the slow cooker and then give it a good stir with a silicone whisk.
I recommend silicone because it's not going to scratch your slow cooker.
Slow cook for two hours on high and then simply stir and serve.
I prefer to stir it halfway through just because it stops it getting burnt in places and it stops it getting too much of a coating on top.
And then pour into your favourite mugs and add your favourite hot chocolate toppings.
We had ours with some extra chocolate buns.
Yes, we got that third bag.
Marshmallows.
And we also had some squirty cream in as well.
And it was lovely.
But of course, you can make it your own.
But what's great here is two hours on high and you've got hot chocolate in your slow cooker.
