Yakuza: Like a Dragon - Story Explained (The Beginning)

Just, just for a very, very, very brief recap as to where we last ended, um, in Yakuza 6, uh, we went on a very personal, very much tighter story with our boy Kazuma Kiryu.

Went looking for the person who put his daughter into a coma after a car accident, as well as the father of her mysterious child.

And in doing so, found, uncovered something called the Secret of Onimichi, through which a mysterious shadowy government organization called the Daidoji Faction...

I'm obsessed with the fact that you have already had to go get your notebook.

Uh, yes.

If you remember-

the mysterious Daidoji Faction came and they're like, "Hey, we are the fixer's men.

We are this guy Minoru Daidoji," who you will remember died last game.

Yeah.

Um, but his, his, his faction-

And it was all to do with a ship.

Yep, his faction, uh, is...

Was trying to keep the secret of the ship, uh, tight the whole time, has now essentially made it so that Kiryu has to die in order to keep the secret.

But the way that they have done that is essentially he has given up his name and gone on.

He can no longer be a part of his family's lives.

And so the story of Kazuma Kiryu, after seven games, came to a close at the end of Yakuza 6.
