Texas just scored a huge win over Oklahoma, before the game's even played! See how a massive recruiting flip and a powerhouse running back room signal big things ahead for Longhorn Nation. In this…
And coming up, what does this flip, yes, flip, what does this flip mean for this particular unit? Now, [sighs] Micah Rhodes, back in April of this year, Micah Rhodes, running back from Klein Oak in Texas, obviously, in Spring, Texas, um, he committed to Oklahoma, and then in April, he decommitted.
Now, [sighs] in the wee early morning this past morning, actually, on Thursday, uh, at 12 AM, he committed to Texas.
He committed to Texas, um, and a fun fact about ol' Micah Rhodes is his, his grandfather, Bobby Rhodes, he played for the Texas Longhorns in the 1980s at a linebacker.
And then, then he's gonna get on that peanut butter diet, get some weight, gain some weight, get in the, get in that weight room even more, right? And it's gonna be insane.
[laughs] Oh, I, I just laughed when I read the, when I read the, um, headline, honestly.
And, and just knowing that he was even a, an Oklahoma commit, and then he-- just to decommit and come over to the Texas side.
This is exciting, and this is gonna give a big boost to the Texas Longhorns backfield.
He's class of 2028, but there's an incoming freshman that I'm so excited to talk about.
And what will this mean for the future of this running back room? I will tell you just in a moment.
