It's time to grab your cup of coffee or your tea, sit back and relax while we chat about what is happening or has happened up in the stars above us for this September 11th, 2026.

So before we begin today, I want to acknowledge that it is September 11th, of course.

And that's a date that carries an enormous emotional memory for people here in the United States and probably around the world.

And remembering matters, right? We honor the lives that were lost and we honor the families whose lives were changed forever and the courage and the humanity that emerged in the midst of this unimaginable tragedy that happened in 2001.

But I also believe there is a difference between remembering an event and reliving this event.

When we repeatedly return to the images of fear and horror and helplessness of the day, we reopen the wound and instead of helping it heal.

And the body does not always distinguish between something that's happening here in the now and something being vividly re-experienced through our memory.

And when this happens collectively, when you have a whole host of people sitting in front of a television reliving those days, it can keep us braced.

Now, that doesn't mean we should forget, right? It means that we might now choose how it is that we want to remember.

Can we remember the people without continually recreating the terror? Can we honor what happened without and honor the healing and the resilience and the courage of the compassion in our hearts for the people who were impacted by this event and how life has unfolded in the 25 years since this horrible event? So perhaps our work today isn't to turn away from the past, but to hold it differently, to remember with love rather than repeatedly returning ourselves to the fear, right? That's the message that I wanna start the day with because I noticed so many people likely tuned into the book or to the television, watching those images that really have been burned into our minds and our hearts and our souls since the event happened 25 years ago.

And yet, it's not about forgetting, because that's not the point that I'm trying to make.

The point I'm trying to make is remember, but don't relive it, right? Don't keep reliving it.

We tend to do this as humans, and we do it particularly in this day and age where we have fast and easy access to media and news stories splashed out there on your phone, the television, and all of the different ways in which we can gain information nowadays.

Why are you watching it? Why are you tuning into it? Is it a commemoration from the heart, or are you reliving it, right? Are you Now, I should have been on air this week.
