The academics are important in homeschool, but it wasn't the only reason you decided to homeschool. Were you hoping to preserve your children's innocence, time, and heart? If so, it can be so easy to…

We all intuitively know that it's important for children to grow up so fast and so young.

We've seen the videos online, the makeup routines for seven-year-olds, the pampering routines, the clothing hauls of children.

You go into stores and I'm like, okay, those shorts look just like the shorts for either like men or women.

It gives me the ick because I just feel like we are pushing our kids to just grow up so fast and so young.

And I know that it's so easy to watch these videos and to watch kids and be like, oh, it's just so cute.

And to also sometimes, like I'm mentioning in the stores, it's hard to find the cute stuff that just makes a kid look like a kid.

I don't think that probably my audience in general is not teaching their five, six, seven year old how to do a full face of makeup.

I mean, some of these I'm just like, wow, you've got a more extensive makeup routine and know more about makeup than I do.

But we can very easily push childhood just out of the day in and day out and the homeschool when it isn't even that extreme.

That means that just this week, this week, ah, I can't believe it, on Saturday is Little by Little Homeschool Conference.

I've been nerding out on the schedules and creating the programs and just the menus and all of the stuff.

But if you think about me, you think about me and my family, my volunteers, we would love any prayers.

Pray for the women that are coming in attendance, that it's just a day to fill them up, that things go off without a hitch, that everybody shows up, that I need to show up as far as my volunteers, and that the weather is great, but no matter what happens, whether there are flukes, whether there are things that just don't go quite according to plan, we know that God is in it.

We just thank you so much for those prayers and let's dive into today's episode.
