It doesn't need to be perfect - set goals, even if they terrify you

And then did you go back and do another couple of hundreds before you went to Schoon or what, um-

I then went to Oatbridge and we won our BE100-

Nice

... which was absolutely amazing.

And do you know, it's so funny, so, like, people laugh at me.

I'm not really that competitive, right, which is why I never look at my watch and why [laughs] I always have time faults.

But in Oatbridge he did a good test, then he jumped clear in the show jumping, and I was sitting second and I thought, "I'm actually going to look at what the minute markers are and I'm going to move," because he canters easily.

Um, and Maeve was laughing at me 'cause she was like, "What do you usually do?" And I'm like, "I just school round." [laughs]

Yeah.

Do you know? We're out for, like, a jolly for the day.

Um, so yeah, we went round in the time, and I think it was Sean Henderson that was in first.

And then I didn't realize we were both on a joint score, and I was closest to the optimum time, so I then won the class.

Wow.

And it was so unexpected.

I was absolutely buzzing.

[laughs]

That is so cool.

That is cool.

And you were obviously feeling super confident and-

Yeah, back to normal

... yeah, the Lexington was just the icing on the cake.

Oh, and I think-

And so at that point, did you think Schoon is a goer, Schoon is a definite possibility?

Yeah, 'cause I thought he feels back to normal.

He's confident.
