Lou GillingsHostI am very, very excited that Splash and I are heading down to Somerford to the national, the British Dressage National Championships this week, which is really exciting and We've got another member, Linda, who is also down there.
And then I found out this, well, last week, should I say, not this week, but I found out that Jules has also got a wild card for the Pet Plan Championships, which is Arena UK at the end of the month.
So yeah, I had a, I always think before anything, anything big it's really hard not to want to change your management because you just want to wrap them up in cotton wool but actually the worst thing you can do is change your management so every day it's like are you okay any well i mean i check my horse's legs regardless if they're field ornaments or not like every day religiously but you you just check with a little bit more trepidation i think oh is everything okay do you feel okay you're looking good you you know I'm feeling very disorganized, which I was away for a couple of days last week.
so years and years and years it's been like it's so nice she's lovely she's going down and she's so organized she's got all of her stuff out ready in her house and she's like we just need to pack i'm like oh i'll pack and get laurie snacks she said and i'm like oh god i haven't done anything so that's um yeah it'll be last minute but it'll be fab it'll be nice because i've been away with splash before and we were lucky enough to be at addington of course in April so I kind of know what to expect I know what he's like I know what he's like away he's just he's brilliant there's nothing to expect he's just fabulous but I'm not going with that like is he okay will he be okay in this situation what will he be like and that is he going to travel okay because I'm on my own and you know he's completely yeah so i'm really excited i had a great session yesterday with tom so it was a really good warm-up session i am ahead of champ so the plan is to kind of hack today and then tomorrow just do a really short schooling session and then yes leave wednesday Should have said we're recording this on Monday because that'll take absolutely no sense at all.
And I get to watch some amazing dressage from people who really know what they're doing.

And it will be you set yourself your goal and written it down so you're not going to move the goalposts.
I'm really happy to say what my goal is on the podcast because it's a really easy one for me.
And if I could do like a clear, I don't obviously mean a clear round as in a jumping clear round, a clean test with no mistakes, I would be absolutely thrilled to bits.
I've got no... expectations in terms of getting placed it's really you know hugely competitive section some amazing combinations some really experienced combinations that are riding at levels above where we are and you know it's not realistic to go and be competitive that's not a negative it's just a fact So actually, I just want to go and smile, trotting down the center line, feeling proud of everything that we've done in 12 months together and enjoy it.
