My name is Linda Spillane and I didn't think much of summer in the city whatsoever.

And if you just go around the corner, the whole of Bedford Row has closed down in the last two months.

without a word from any council member or anybody approaching any business there to see if anything could help to keep the business in the city.

Whereas then you had the place blocked off above that was completely empty from Monday to Friday with nobody up there but you had inconvenience to all the traffic and then on a Saturday or Sunday you may have had a couple, I went up there once and there was just one family up there and the whole place blocked off.

And as for sitting out outside the Glen Tavern, ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.

Whereas there's so many businesses closing down in the city, no place to park at the best of times for anybody even to drop in for five minutes to try and keep a bit of business in the city, and nothing about that has been done.

Well thankfully we're okay here because we are the only chocolate shop in the town so we're doing okay because people love us and they'll keep coming back for the good stuff but other than that I mean like there was Everything dropped off.

And yet they're trying to make all these new plans for Cruises Street and that place is horrendous.
